About Joshua Housing
I am an alumnus of The University of Iowa with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications. My journey into photography began in high school when I enrolled in a journalism course and was selected as a photographer for the school paper and yearbook. What started as a serendipitous opportunity quickly turned into a lifelong passion—I haven’t put the camera down since.
During my summer orientation at The University of Iowa, I walked into The Daily Iowan newsroom and boldly asked if they were hiring. That moment marked the start of a transformative experience as photography and journalism became more than a hobby; they became a calling.
With a strong foundation in photography, journalism, and content strategy, I bring a unique blend of visual storytelling and editorial expertise. My professional experience includes producing immersive stories for The Associated Press, driving engagement through social media, and curating impactful news experiences. I've led photojournalism teams, captured dynamic sports events, and collaborated across departments to deliver compelling visual content. Clients can count on me to craft narratives that resonate, combining artistry and strategy to bring their stories to life.
